All About Lodging in Breckenridge
You’ll have lots of choice for Breckenridge lodging on your next mountain vacation. But if you’ve never been to Breck before, you probably have lots of questions about available accommodations, different areas of the town, and much more. To help you plan an amazing Breckenridge vacation, we’ve put together some information that covers just about everything you’ll need to know about Breckenridge lodging so you can pick the perfect vacation rental for your trip.
Breckenridge Lodging in the Winter
If you’re planning a winter Breckenridge vacation, it’s important to be aware of the peak times during the season. As you might expect, peak times include over Christmas/New Year’s, Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, Presidents’ Day, and Spring Break. Not only are vacation homes and condos more expensive during these peak times, but you’ll need to make reservations early because rentals fill up quickly. During the ski season, it’s all but guaranteed that the closer a vacation property is to the slopes, the more expensive it will be. Rentals that offer ski-in/ski-out access will be among the priciest of properties.
Summer Breckenridge Lodging
Summer vacations in Breckenridge typically offer fantastic weather and no shortage of fun or memorable activities. If you travel to Breck in the summer, you’ll find that lodging isn’t as expensive and that there will be more of a selection available. However, the town’s popularity continues to increase every year, so making reservations early is always a good idea. This is especially true if you happen to visit over Memorial Day, the 4th of July, or Labor Day. There are a number of festivals and other special events during the summer holidays and months, which will affect prices and availability.
Off-Season Lodging
You’ll get the best deals on lodging if you visit Breckenridge during the spring or the fall. As there are fewer visitors during these time of the year, there’s usually quite a few vacation homes and condos from which you can choose. However, the one caveat of taking a Breckenridge spring or fall vacation is that the weather can be unpredictable. It can and will change dramatically from day to day. So whether you’re here in April or October, you could have snow one day and warm, sunny weather the next. Visiting during the off-season may also mean that you’ll find some of the shops and restaurants closed down. These are usually the only times of the year when the owners of local establishments can take their own vacations.
